To promote prevention, treatment, and recovery from alcohol and substance use disorders through evidence-based programs, education, and advocacy, fostering hope and resilience in those affected.

Who we are

Operating in Harford and Cecil county Maryland, Reaching for Recovery is a not-for-profit dedicated to helping our community recover from alcohol use disorder and substance use disorder. Our goal is to reduce the stigma surrounding individuals in recovery and reveal how it can affect someone years and years after they reach sobriety.

What we do


Educate and Advocate: Raise awareness about alcohol and substance use disorders, promote prevention strategies, and advocate for policies that support recovery.

Build a Supportive Community: Create a safe and welcoming environment where individuals in recovery can connect with others, share their story, build relationships, and develop a strong support network.

Provide Resources: Offer resources of support. Provide compelling and relevant stories of triumph and challenges. Offer fact-based stories of real-life encounters with stigma surrounding recovery.
